Crossroads Care is a local charity providing services to those who through age or disability require a helping hand to remain living safely at home and remain active members of the community. As a Carers support charity we do our utmost to assist unpaid family / informal carers through practical help, respite care, information, advice and opportunities to meet others with similar responsibilities and challenges.
Throughout the Forest of Dean we provide regular domiciliary care, carer respite (FREE to the informal / family carer), social activities through our active living programme for older people who need a helping hand to join in, dementia care activities, gents pub club, community and carers social events. For children we offer regular support / buddying to facilitate respite for parent carers. In Cinderford we have our weekly Young Carers group and our youth club for youngsters with high functioning autism / Asperger’s.
Donations, Fundraising support and volunteer help are all required to help us extend our services in the Forest of Dean community.
